The term “Prairie Giants” refers to the way the grain elevators stood tall over prairie towns, dating back to the early part of the 20th century. They were built along railway lines so that farmers could market their grain. Today, although most of these giants have been abandoned or destroyed, the row of 5 still stand tall overlooking our community of Inglis, and were designated a National Historic Site. Since Doug started his ag career in the Paterson Grain elevator in Inglis, our family felt that incorporating this into our new name was a perfect way to acknowledge the importance of these symbols within our community and the ag business. We look forward to serving our growers for many years to come and thank you for all your support!
